You might have limited ankle mobility which is causing this. There will be a series that will help with ankle mobility in a few months, but until then, my advise is to show it to a good physiotherapist that can give you some individual attention.
Ankle support is only beneficial if you have sprained your ankle. So i don't believe it will offer any help in this case.
You might also be experiencing pain if your alignment is in question. If your weight on your feet is not centred, and you are forcing your feet further out than your turn-out, your ankle may be feeling pain.
